Tattoo Removal, and Possible Reasons Why

The very fact that tattoo removal exists says so something bad about human nature. You would think that people would put a little bit of extra thought into what they were doing before getting something permanent marked on their skin, but few people seem to. People get tattoo remove procedures all the time. Laser tattoo removal is a booming business nowadays. In fact, hundreds of people come in every month in a typical office to get their tattoos removed.
There are very few tattoo removals done because someone just got sick of their tattoo. Usually, when people eventually get a tattoo removal, it is because they have hated the tattoo from the first day they got it. People who feel ambivalent about their tattoos generally get used to them in the long run. No one wants to go through the expense and embarrassment of tattoo removal unless they really hate what they have.
So why do people get tattoos removed? Everyone seems to have a different reason for tattoo removals. One of the most common ones, however, involves alcohol, an obnoxious friend, and a reckless bet. You wouldn’t believe how often people dare each other to get tattoos when one of them is in no state to make decisions. If it weren’t for obnoxious friends doing sadistic pranks, in fact, there would be almost no business to remove tattoos. A good half of the people who remove a tattoo have the same story. Nonetheless, the story is funny every time I hear it.
The majority of other tattoo stories involve gang tattoo removal. It is encouraging to see someone remove a gang tattoo, but it happens more often than you would think. If people can survive that long, they usually get out of their gangs in their 30s. At that point, they want their tattoos removed. Without gang tattoo removal, they will have no hope of ever having a normal life. Their former gang membership will haunt them in every sector of their life, including their professional life. They will not be able to establish normal relationships because most people are scared off by gang tattoos. I am always happy to see someone come in for gang tattoo removal. It is encouraging to see people try to turn their lives around.
